Name: Breakdown
From: Transformers: Prime
Appearance:

Age: Pretty old, physically; early-mid 30s in mentality
Gender: Male.
Personality: Breakdown is very much the brawn of the Decepticon forces on Earth, and he absolutely does not mind that in the least. He loves being the one ordered to smash things and rain down destruction on the Autobot forces... as well as anyone else that gets in his way. Unfortunately, this backfires one too often, and he ends up putting a few dents in his partner, Knock Out, instead.
Speaking of Knock Out... wherever the medic goes, Breakdown, as his assistant, is almost sure to follow, both in conversation and in action. He's 100% alright with being the sidekick when it comes to partnerships. Most of this is because he prefers fighting over thinking. Not to say that he's an idiot; he's not exactly the most intelligent Decepticon out there, but he can catch on to a basic idea pretty quickly. But he'll never be the one to pitch in with a plan for anything.
He's incredibly brash, always ready for a fight, and doesn't like to run away from a problem. "Never run when you can fight" is his motto, although he'll retreat if told to. However, he's not without honor; when his arch-enemy Bulkhead saved him from MECH, Breakdown hesitated when later ordered to destroy his savior. Of course, this didn't completely stop him from trying. He also takes great shame when he fails in something, and keeps some kind of memento as a reminder to never make the same mistake twice. Unfortunately, this doesn't always work, since he's easily provoked and too stubborn to realize when there's a trap.
Fortunately, this only extends to battle. Outside of battle, he's actually a pretty calm and easy-going individual. He sympathizes with Vehicons and their grunt work, and spends a lot of time just kind of hanging out with them or helping Knock Out around the medbay... or with his finish.
Backstory: Nothing is really known about him from before he joined up with Starscream on the Nemesis, but before then, he'd been roaming around Earth with Knock Out, tracking down Energon mines and Iacon artifacts. While Knock Out went to the Nemesis immediately, Breakdown stayed behind in Greece to track down a signal. There, he intercepted Bulkhead and threw a pillar at Miko, fighting with his Autobot rival until he smashed an ancient Greek fresco depicting an Energon Harvester, leaving the scene soon after to rejoin the rest of the Decepticons. He went with Knock Out to the museum where the Harvester was being held, and the two held off the Autobots long enough for Soundwave to make off with the artifact. The duo then accompanied Starscream as he went to test out the Harvester, and fled the scene after Bulkhead arrived and smashed it.
While Knock Out skipped out on his duties to go street racing, Breakdown was left to buff the comatose Megatron's body until his partner called and said he'd kidnapped Bumblebee's human companion. Breakdown met up with them in a parking lot and held his own against Bumblebee and Bulkhead... up until Knock Out accidentally distracted him with a message that he was fleeing, and he was knocked into a wall. He later bore witness to Knock Out's punishment at the hands of Starscream.
Later on, he met Bulkhead yet again when the two of them ended up tracking down the same Energon signal. Breakdown was victorious, but was knocked unconscious by MECH just as he was about to deliver the final blow. MECH proceeded to start dismantling him, taking his right eye before Bulkhead ended up crashing the party and saving him, much to Breakdown's surprise. The two of them fought their way through MECH's forces, with Breakdown even tackling Bulkhead out of the way of an energy weapon, until Starscream arrived and chased off the rest of MECH just before ordering Breakdown to kill Bulkhead. Breakdown hesitated, but complied -- and lost. He fled the scene, only to be stopped by Starscream who told him that he would eventually have to choose a side: Starscream's, or Megatron's.
Instead of having his eye replaced, he took to wearing an eyepatch instead, as a reminder of his failure. In order to redeem himself, he offered to go and get the polarity gauntlet -- only for him to fight Airachnid for it, and then Arcee and Bulkhead. Airachnid and him became magnetized to each other, and he presented her to Megatron in place of the gauntlet.
He helped secure the Forge of Solus Prime for the Decepticons before being set on a mission along with Dreadwing to dispose of Airachnid, who was becoming more troublesome than helpful. She goaded him into attacking her, though, and he pursued her after she webbed Dreadwing to a tree. He caught up to her eventually, but ended up stepping right into a trap, and Airachnid dismantled and killed him.
Moral Standing: Evil... for the most part. He has morals, after all; he's not going to immediately turn on someone that helps him, even if that someone is his mortal enemy.
Dreams: Finally defeating Bulkhead would be really great! Also the Decepticons winning or something.
Fears: Bulkhead winning their little feud.
Extra: He turns into a heavily armored truck, and his hand turns into a hammer. And apparently, he's a maestro with a rotary buffer. Breakdown will be entering the city right at the moment that he's decapitated by Airachnid.
Character Location: The Nemesis, once it's back up.
